The requirements for a minor in International Studies are:

A. Required Courses:

PSCI 1004: Nations and Nationalities
PSCI 1024: Introduction to Comparative Government and Politics
IS 2054: Introduction to World Politics
IS 2064: The Global Economy and World Politics

B. Elective Courses: 

6 Hours of additional courses from the approved list (consult the checksheets below). Note that in Fall 2014 MATH 1015 became MATH 1014 and MATH 1016 became MATH 1025.

6 hours at the 3000 - 4000 level.


The requirements for a minor in National Security & Foreign Affairs are:

A. Required Courses:

PSCI 1014:  Introduction to U.S. Government and Politics
IS/PSCI/GEOG 2054:  Introduction to World Politics
PSCI 3734:  National Security  

B. Elective Courses: 

9 Hours of additional courses at the 3000-4000 level selected from a list of approved security and foreign affairs-related courses (consult the checksheets below).

Note: Students are strongly encouraged to pursue language study. A double minor in International Studies and a Foreign Language is also encouraged.
