International Studies
Minor Requirements

Transfers into the International Studies minor are accepted on a competitive basis, depending upon space available. To apply for admission into the minor, one must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.

Applications for the minor are accepted during the third week in September and the third week in February. Forms will be available at the International Studies office one week prior and during the application period. Results will be emailed by the first day of the course request period.

Application dates for Fall 2009 are Sept. 14-18.

Application dates for Spring 2010 are Feb. 15-19.

The requirements for a minor in International Studies are:

A. REQUIRED COURSES: (6 hours)

IS 2054 --World Politics & Economy (formerly IS 2055)
IS 2064 --World Politics & Economy (formerly IS 2056)

B. ELECTIVE COURSES: (12 hours)

12 Hours of additional courses from the approved list (list can be found on the checksheets)

6 hours at the 1XXX - 2XXX level

6 hours at the 3XXX - 4XXX level.

NOTE: Students are strongly encouraged to pursue language study. A double minor in International Studies and a Foreign Language is also encouraged.
