The course analyzes post-9/11 security and foreign policies through the aftermath of the Iraq war. Course is designed for advanced students of foreign and security policy, with an area interest in the Middle and the Far East. The focus is on basic assumptions of national and international interests after 9/11, foreign policy strategies, procedures and leadership style, domestic influences on the conduct of foreign policy, and policy implementation.
